BCET Shell-shocked by Generosity

Shell and the Pro Alumni Football Association's held a successful gala on June 24th to honor one educator and two students from Beaver County. The BCET was proud to be instrumental in locating and selecting the students and teacher, who were the focus of the event. Shell rewarded the BCET with a grant of $15,000 for its concerted efforts.

Rotarians Re-up the Ration

The BCET would like to thank the Rotary of Beaver for a $600 donation in 2019. The Rotary Club of Beaver is a group of local professionals who recognize a need to give back to the community in which they live. This local chapter Rotary International has made giving away free beds, bedding and pillows to children in need a part of its philanthropic mission. The Rotary meets on Wednesdays at the Wooden Angel in Beaver at 12:15pm. Interested professionals are welcome to stop by and find out more.

HVHS Gives Big to GwB

Heritage Valley Health Systems gave to the Growing with Books program in 2019 to the tune of $5,000. With an annual operating budget of $25,000 for Growing with Books, the $5k will go a long way to meeting this year's need. The BCET is grateful for the donation to help put books in the hands of pre-schoolers.

Returning Trustee Markets Her Skills

Home

Returning trustee, Erica Loftus, brings her marketing expertise to the BCET board. As the owner of Nala Marketing, a marketing firm she started two years ago, Erica is most interested in helping grow the BCET as a Beaver County asset and increase its visibility in the community. STEAM-Walk grants and the resulting events are her favorite BCET program, but she is very excited to have the opportunity to help all programs grow and gain popularity. The Beaver County Education Trust is happy to welcome her back to the board and looks forward to her help.
