Tusca Ridge Gardening Club awarded the BCET with a grant of $1,000 in 2019. The funds are to be used to help educate the local youth on the ways and means of gardening by provided practical experiences and supplies. Tusca-Ridge belongs to the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania. They are a charitable, volunteer organization of women, men and youth who share interest in gardening, civic beautification, floral design, conservation of natural resources and environmental and legislative issues through local clubs. Tusca-Ridge Gardening Club organizes, supports, arranges and delivers educational and school programs along with a variety of resources to support horticultural and environmental activities. The BCET would like to thank the Rotary of Beaver for a $600 donation in 2019. The Rotary Club of Beaver is a group of local professionals who recognize a need to give back to the community in which they live. This local chapter Rotary International has made giving away free beds, bedding and pillows to children in need a part of its philanthropic mission. The Rotary meets on Wednesdays at the Wooden Angel in Beaver at 12:15pm. Interested professionals are welcome to stop by and find out more.

Heritage Valley Health Systems gave to the Growing with Books program in 2019 to the tune of $5,000. With an annual operating budget of $25,000 for Growing with Books, the $5k will go a long way to meeting this year's need. The BCET is grateful for the donation to help put books in the hands of pre-schoolers.

The Beaver County Educational Trust was recently recognized for its transparency with a Gold Seal on the BCET GuideStar Nonprofit Profile! GuideStar is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. More than 8 million visitors per year and a network of 200+ partners use GuideStar data to grow support for nonprofits. In order to get the Gold Seal, the Beaver County Educational Trust shared important information with the public using its profile on www.guidestar.org. Now Beaver County community members and potential donors can find in-depth information about the goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress of the BCET on GuideStar. BCET Event to Thank Donors

The BCET held an event at the Log Cabin in Beaver to thank the many corporate and individual donors of the organization. The event was held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Outgoing President, Mark Breedlove, personally thanked representatives from Highmark for the $20k donation to the STEM Walk program and the continued support for 2016. Lincoln Learning Solutions, a.k.a. NNDS, was also singled out for the company's $45k three-year pledge to support the Great Ideas Mini-Grant program.
