Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center leaped at the chance to be part of the "Coming Together for Education" fundraising event as the marquee sponsor. The event benefits the Beaver County Educational Trust and is scheduled for May 20th between 6pm-8pm at the newly renovated Willows in Industry, PA. Lincoln Park will be featuring "In the Heights" in the month of June. With performances scheduled for the 14th through the 16th and the 21st through the 23rd. Tickets are on sale now. The BCET received a generous $5000 EITC donation from Huntington Bank in 2018. Earned Income Tax Credit donations come straight out of PA corporate income taxes allowing corporations located in PA to funnel their tax dollars directly to EIO's across the state. The Beaver County Educational Trust received a $500 donation from the Beaver Falls Rotary. Daniel Flick, president, presented the award to BCET executive director, Jamie Connolly, back in November of 2018. The BCET is grateful for the support of the local Rotary group of Beaver Falls. Beaver Falls Rotary meets Monday's at Noon at Z-Pubs in Chippewa and is a chapter of the larger Rotary International group that has helped to wipe out Polio around the world.

However, funds are limited and sometimes teachers need a little bit more than the BCET can award. Pens Foundation Gives Big to Growing with Books in Beaver County

The Pens Foundation has generously given to the BCET before and continues it’s support of educating children in Beaver County with yesterdays donation. David Soltesz, President of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, presented a $10,000 check to Jamie Connelly of the Beaver County Educational Trust for the “Growing with Books” program. Each year the BCET spends close to $30,000 to send books to children under the age of 5 in Beaver County. With this generous donation the program will be able to expand and add additional children to this wonderful program.
