The S.T.E.M Walks program was added in 2013 to the Beaver County Educational Trusts list of programs. The BCET partnered with the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit to develop the STEM-Walk program. The objective of the S.T.E.M. Walk program is to foster excitement and enthusiasm in middle school children for the hard sciences. The hope is to create a unique and enjoyable opportunity for middle school children and families to share creative and engaging experiences in the four core areas of STEM. Further, it is hoped that all Beaver County School Districts will apply to hold STEM-Walks that will be planned and presented by the teachers in those districts and funded by grants from the Beaver County Educational Trust.
